OUR MISSION
WE ARE ONE
The Family Church is a family of believers who live out our Kingdom culture, demonstrate fearless faith, and change our world by restoring God's family.
Vision
We are committed to healing and rebuilding our local communities and the world, by restoring God's family. We will help people know God as Father, Find personal Freedom, Discover their Purpose, and Make a difference in their World.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. The Holy Spirit inspired the writers of both the Old and New Testaments, and all Scripture points to Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.
The One True God
We believe that there is one God, eternally revealed to the world as the Father, the Son—Jesus Christ—and the Holy Spirit. By Him, all things were created.
Jesus Christ
We believe that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem all of mankind. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed many undeniable miracles, was crucified for our sins, buried, and raised from the dead for our justification.
Salvation is found only in the name of Jesus Christ. He now sits at the right hand of the Father and will return personally, in power and glory, to receive His Church unto Himself.
Salvation of Mankind
We believe that mankind is sinful by nature and will perish without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Gospel. God desires that no one should perish, but that all would come to salvation through the preaching of the Gospel to a lost and hopeless world.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the multi-faceted work of the Holy Spirit, including:
-
Conviction of sin
-
Revelation of Gospel truth
-
Drawing the sinner to God
-
Regeneration and adoption into the Body of Christ
-
Distribution and administration of the Gifts and Fruit of the Holy Spirit
Jesus Christ is the Baptizer in the Holy Spirit, empowering the Church through the Baptism with the Holy Spirit
The Church
We believe in the local church as the gathering place for believers for edification, teaching from the Word of God, fellowship, and ministry to and through one another according to spiritual gifts. The local church provides identity, encouragement, interdependence, correction, and discipline for its members.
Biblical Foundation of Marriage
We believe that God, our Creator, established marriage as a sacred institution between one man and one woman. This Traditional Definition of Marriage has existed throughout human history and is clearly conveyed in Scripture, including Matthew 19:4–6, where Jesus affirmed that God created humanity male and female.
Church Policy on Marriage
The Family Church, Inc. recognizes and affirms only the Traditional Definition of Marriage—a covenant between one man and one woman. No director, officer, employee, agent, or representative of The Family Church, Inc. shall act in a way that is inconsistent with or perceived as inconsistent with this policy.
Baptism in Water
Water baptism by burial with Christ is a scriptural ordinance to be observed by all who have repented of their sins and have believed in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Through baptism, believers publicly declare that they have died with Christ and have been raised to walk in newness of life. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4).
The Lord’s Supper (Communion)
The Lord’s Supper, consisting of bread and the fruit of the vine, is a memorial of Christ’s suffering and death and a proclamation of His second coming. This ordinance is observed by believers “until He comes”
(John 6:48, 51, 53–57; Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:25).
