The Secret To Staying: To Never Leave Again!

Matthew 1:21-23 | AMP 21 She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus [the Greek form of the Hebrew Joshua, which means Savior], for He will save His people from their sins [that is, prevent them from failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God].22 All this took place that it might be fulfilled which the Lord had spoken through the prophet,23 Behold, the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel--which, when translated, means, God with us.

Once a year we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ with a holiday called Christmas in which presents are given often only to be exchanged because it was the wrong color or it did not fit. Truth be told even the perfect present given during this time leaves a person overtime unchanged! Last week we learned that whenever the presence of God shows up, there will a divine disruption! Today we will to discover that the secret to staying in His presence is: To Never leave Again!

Presence: panym- God’s presence is the awareness of his true nature (the glory) before it manifests.

Coming into The Presence of God is a gift, but the real blessing is staying in His presence!

Read Hebrews 10:35-36 AMP

Many things will cross our path to hinder our progress and avert our attention away from the awareness of God’s nature before it manifests.

  • The Key to maintaining the presence of God is to maintain the confidence to stay in his Presence and to fight for what rightfully belongs to you!

Three Keys to Maintain your confidence to stay and never leave His Presence!

Read Philippians 3:13 | NLT

Key # 1. Forget about it!

  • Paul forgot only those things that slowed him down and hindered him from making progress, but he said that we are to remember other things.

Read Philippians 3:4-8 NLT

  • Keep in mind your fight of affliction, Keep in mind that you endured great loss only to discover what is truly valuable!

Read Hebrews 10:38 AMP

Key # 2 Live By Faith, Not By Feelings!

  • There are many times when you will not have any spiritual feeling at all; so when that time comes, we must live by faith.

  • There must always be a corresponding action that goes with what you believe, that is called living.

We must maintain a state of confidence in the promises of God and the certainty that God has already accomplished what He promised.(for me not on notes)

Read Hebrews 11:11-13 amplified

Key #3 Develop a long range view

  • They had a long-range faith that looked into the future and dared to count the things that were not as though they were, and the things that were as though they were not.

The Presence causes you to appreciate what was lost but now found!

Psalms 73:21c-28 | MSG When I was beleaguered and bitter, totally consumed by envy,22 I was totally ignorant, a dumb oxin your very presence.23 I’m still in your presence, but you’ve taken my hand.24 You wisely and tenderly lead me,and then you bless me. 25 You’re all I want in heaven! You’re all I want on earth! 26 When my skin sags and my bones get brittle,God is rock–firm and faithful. 27 Look! Those who left you are falling apart!Deserters, they’ll never be heard from again.28 But I’m in the very presence of God—oh, how refreshing it is! I’ve made Lord God my home. God, I’m telling the world what you do!
